Our Story
Our story is rooted in a passion for flavour, a legacy of food expertise, and a vision to create new possibilities for the food service industry. The journey began with Vallabhdas Vassanji Mariwala, founder of Vallabhdas Kanji Ltd., one of India’s pioneering black pepper exporters. What started with a deep understanding of spices and flavours gradually evolved into something bigger. By the 1990s, we had moved into developing customised seasonings for leading global QSR brands, laying the foundation for what is today our much-loved brand, Chef’s Art.
Building on this rich legacy, Mr. Ajay Jayasinh Mariwala founded Food Service India Pvt. Ltd. (FSIPL) in 2016 with a vision to take India’s food service industry forward. Inspired by the evolving food solutions landscape in the US and Europe, he saw an opportunity to bring innovative, quality-driven and customised solutions to India’s growing HORECA industry. Since then, Food Service India has grown with one clear purpose: to make life easier for food businesses and help them achieve more.
Our legacy lives on through Chef’s Art, our popular seasonings brand for HORECA, where years of flavour expertise and proprietary recipes come together. But we believe our role goes beyond providing ingredients. We work alongside chefs and food businesses, helping them explore new ideas, create memorable food experiences and bring their culinary vision to life. We don’t just create food solutions we create possibilities that help the food service industry grow.
